Global Green Institute is furtherance of the professional work of our Principal to see Positive Impacts for the Planet and its Peoples.
Our primary activities are the efforts to engage within and the document of our collaborative efforts to see measurable improvement of Elements, Assemblies, Systems and Opportunities which REDUCE Negative Impacts on the Planet, its Peoples; the measurable increases of human and planetary WELLness efforts resulting in ongoing positive impacts which continue into the future.
Huard’s efforts in the documentation of Resources Conservation and Carbon Abatement resulting from the adopted and incorporated efforts which reduce the global impacts of excess Resource & Energy Consumption are well known in the global Green Building Industry circles. Our adopted innovations and efforts have seen very substantial Emissions Reductions resulting from Energy Efficiency Improvements leading to substantive Carbon Abatement from the initiatives and incorporation of governance improvements and best practice adoptions.
Carbon Emission as well as numerous GHG reductions have been realized via the adoption of strategies implemented as a result of Investment Grade Level III Audits in addition to the application of innovative technologies like the Greentech Laboratories Formulas which dramatically reduce hydrocarbon usage and additionally reduce numerous negative emissions from Internal Combustion engines, obviously we develop and deliver substantive Carbon Emissions Reductions Credits from this work.
Work in the built environment with Trac Group International delivers combined Resiliency, Impact, Fire and Hurricane resistant solutions that concurrently provide Solar Photovoltaic and Solar Thermal packaged solutions that develop additional Carbon Credits has been recognized as globally innovative in the generation of Carbon Credits.
Ongoing effort within the built environment includes performing Life Cycle Assessments for LEED, Living Building Challenge, Green Globes and the US DOE’s Net Zero Energy Homes programs to document the lifecycle stages impacts as well as the current and future projections of carbon intensity reductions from efficient and effective building projects.
Global Green Institute’s Principal’s engagement within numerous global Green Building Ratings Systems, Standards Development and program authorship is another precedent that continues to provide “Positive Impacts for the Planet and its Peoples”.
Daniel A. Huard, LEED Fellow is an acknowledged contributing author to the LEED since 2010 and the published LEED v4 (version 4) Rating Systems providing focus on Regional Priority Credits introduced in the LEED 2009 rating systems to incentivize the achievement of credits that address geographically specific environmental, social equity and public health priorities.
As a Member and Chairperson of the LEED Water Efficiency Technical Advisory Group following the adoption of LEEDv4, Huard let the TAG for through transition of LEED v4 to the established current LEED v4.1, making significant contributions to the authorship of several credits within the LEED v4.1’s Rating Systems. Huard also served on the LEED Technical Committee until 2020 when he was selected to the LEED Advisory Committee beginning full service in that role in January of 2021, Huard agreed in Q3 2022 when USGBC requested he continue his service for the LEED Advisory Committee for another two years until the end of 2024, providing “Positive Impacts for the Planet and its Peoples”.
In December 2022 the USGBC Board of Directors voted to appoint Daniel A. Huard, LEED Fellow the global Vice Chair of the LEED Fellows Selection Committee.

the US Department of the Interior since 2009 we continue developing solutions mitigating carbon and GHG impacts to help attain goals set out in Executive Order 13514. Most recently abating over 96% of materials destined for landfills, with a quantity exceeding 50,000 tons.
Global Green Institute was established for the collaborative furtherance of our professional work initiated in 1984, to make positive impacts for the planet and its peoples.
